The European Commission Copernicus programme aims at producing world’s largest amount of global geospatial environmental information. Data are being generated primarily by dedicated Earth Observation platforms (the Sentinel satellites), numerical models and ground measurements.

Data access systems
The data can be made accessible via different access systems, which are able to accommodate different kind of users:
Eodataservice: Web-based data visualisation and access platform
This interface is devoted to all (expert and non-expert) users. From this interface the participants can simultaneously visualize the available data (satellite and meteoclimatological data), extract time series on points / areas, extract statistical information (e.g. average temperature or cumulated precipitation of all Julys since 2000 for different points to identify the impact of climate change) and download the data for further analysis (e.g. via GIS tools / Excel); some usage examples is reported here
EO Browser Web-based data visualisation and download platform
This interface is devoted to satellite data users. From this interface the participants can visualize the available optical and SAR multi-spectral imagery (Sentinels, Landsat, MODIS, Envisat MERIS), extract georeferenced imagery for further analysis (e.g. via GIS tools); some usage examples is reported here:

OGC Web Coverage Service (WCS) for Climate Data
This service provides web-based standardised access to the real data values. Technical data users can integrate data access into their processing script. No data download is required and users can get the data in a format they are most familiar with, e.g. NetCDF, CSV or PNG. Jupyter Notebooks
Jupyter Notebooks are a web-based programming environment that aims more at technical data users with programming skills. The benefits of Jupyter Notebooks are that data access, workflow documentation, code and data visualisation can be combined in one notebooks. This makes it very useful to share and present results, while showing exactly the workflow and data analysis approach.
