Bucharest: From Waste to Energy
Even though the quantites of waste generated in Romania are smaller that the ones generated by other European countries, there is still a lot of work to do with recycling. With over 82 per cent of the total waste going straight to landfill we are at the bottom of the list. European waste management policies promote reducing the impact of waste on both the environment and people's health. THis year's event aims to provide an insight on the waste hierarchy and explore the possibilities of waste-to-enery strategies that can even bring Romania's capital to Zero-Waste in a few years.
